About Our Chapter
National Charity League, Inc. (NCL, Inc.) is a national volunteer service organization of mothers and daughters. We refer to the mothers as Patronesses and the daughters as Ticktockers. Our members embrace the mission of NCL, Inc., to foster mother-daughter relationships in a philanthropic organization committed to community service, leadership development and cultural experiences. Each member is expected to commit to the Six-Year NCL Experience while embodying the three pillars of National Charity League:
- Community Service: To be a good citizen by helping with philanthropic needs that exist in our community and to help meet those needs whenever possible.
- Leadership Development: To strengthen leadership skills and to help unlock leadership potential through parliamentary procedure, team building, mentorship, and problem solving.
- Cultural Experiences: To create an environment that nurtures etiquette, self-respect, and respect for others. To encompass positivity by recognizing and appreciating the value of differences in each other and the world.
Our chapter holds meetings once a month for Patronesses and Ticktockers that often include special speakers and activities supporting the three pillars of the organization. NCL, Inc. offers Patronesses and Ticktockers an opportunity to expand their horizons, meet new friends, and to contribute to the community through volunteerism.
Annual events include, but are not limited to, the Mother/Daughter Tea held each fall; the Senior Recognition Event (honoring each year’s graduating senior class); and the Ticktocker Award Ceremony (celebrating Mother/Daughter and Ticktocker accomplishments through recognition and awards).
